ABOUT CHARITY FARNSWORTH

As the Senior Vice President at HealthCare ConsultLink (HCL), I oversee field and remote consulting, mergers and acquisitions support, education activities, and policy manual content development for multiple service lines and specialty programs. In addition, I manage business development and the design and implementation of new offerings for HealthCare ConsultLink clients. Since joining HCL, I have served as a national PDGM trainer and continue to perform training on an intermittent basis in small- and large-group settings. I gained my initial experience working in home health beginning in 1998. Industry changes with the previous payment model change led to my taking a different direction before returning to the industry in 2009. My home care background includes managing and rebuilding agency operations, clinical project management, and overseeing clinical operations in multi-site scenarios. In addition to my nursing-related experience, I have background in healthcare sales and marketing, as well as personal and business financial planning. While I am a clinician, I also appreciate that healthcare is a business and that strong understanding of the operations and financial impacts is critical to success. My combined experiences help me bring a comprehensive perspective to the different aspects of managing agencies. I am a major proponent of equipping people with the tools they need to be successful, especially where training is concerned. I greatly enjoy being able to assist agency stakeholders through consulting and education services, and leading a team with the same level of passion for what we do is very motivating.
