I am the library media specialist at Horlick High School in Racine. I serve as an assessor for the Wisconsin Master Educator Assessment Process. I am also a member of the Wisconsin Education Resource Content Reviewer Team. I have a the CESA Personal Learning Endorsement. Before coming to Racine, I was the Library Media Specialist and Instructional Technology Leader at a K-12 Milwaukee Public School. I fulfill the qualifications that are needed to build and run a cutting edge 21st century learning environment. I am a RUSD Virtual Educator.I am a passionate teacher and a strong believer in life-long learning. My instructional approach centers on differentiating instruction to ensure that all children reach their maximum potential. I have taught and developed courses at University of Wisconsin - Parkside, Lakeland College, St. Thomas University (Connecting Link), Marquette University and McPherson College. I have an established an extensive network to help students and educators gain the skills they need to be effective in our tech-savvy world. I have a Masters degree in Computers and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Library Media. I have a degree in library science and I am certified to teach Social Studies and Language Arts for grades 5 – 9. My Masters degree enables me to be an instructor of technology for all grade levels. This includes online instruction and adult education. As a RUSD staff member I have received Kids First, PPG and Kohls Cares Grants. During my tenure at MPS, I co-wrote many grants including a Preparing Tomorrow\'s Teachers in Technology Grant for 1.5 million. Independently, I have written numerous other grants including a National Endowment of the Humanities Grant for I mentor librarian practicum students. I am a PDP reviewer for Marquette University and a Wisconsin Master Educator (WEAMP) Assessor. I believe that each of my students is a unique jewel. They continue to motivate me to grow as an educator.
