About Chap Grubb
Experienced founder with a demonstrated history of working in the sporting goods industry. I have been starting businesses since I was an adolescent. Lawn mowing, pizza companies and yard work businesses made up my childhood. As an enterprising college student, I started a house painting company. Despite being in a bad situation - I found ways to stay cash flow positive while upholding uncompromising business ethics (those of generosity, sustainability and honesty). I lived in a 1981 Volkswagon Van for 18 months after college before finding work as an afterschool club designer and leader in Moab, UT. I transitioned unexpectedly into the world of professional poker. This was when I started to understand the significant demands for organization, operations, long-term planning, data analysis and bookkeeping. A successful 3 year career helped me launch the next chapter of my life. Outdoor industry innovator. My love for playing outside has taught me about many of the insane inefficiencies and immense waste. My aim is to strengthen our wilderness community, promote access and education and help more people get outside. Strong business development professional with a Bachelor of Arts - BA focused in English Language and Literature, General from University of Colorado Boulder. Focused on leadership, strategy and communication.
