About Chao Xu

I am a data scientist, statistician, and business strategist.I have more than 10 years of extensive professional experience of developing statistical and machine learning models that help design and improve business solutions. I started my career as a Business Analyst where I worked closely with operational partners and business solution users to develop business strategies and optimize operational performance. I later on became a Statistician that focused on expressing data through a variety of statistical and machine learning models that brought a more profound impact to the business solutions. I am currently working as a Director of Data Science and I am leading a team of statisticians and data scientists to bring innovative solutions to our business partners. I have a strong interest in tackling difficult problems and translate them into applicable data-driven solutions that can bring value to the company. I also make it my mission to be able to explain a complex technical concept in front of my audiences who do not always have a statistical background.Specialties- Statistical modeling, Machine Learning, Data analysis, Operational research- Proficient in SAS, Excel and SQL; familiar with R and Python- Clear and expressive Mandarin and Cantonese, fluent in English.
