Hello! I\'m Chantel, a First-Gen Latina, proud Penn State Behrend alumna with a Bachelor\'s in Communication, and a passionate Communications Coordinator at Millcreek Township. As the Communication Coordinator for Millcreek Township\'s Community Relations and Sustainability department, my role centers on creating cohesive, strategic communication that supports our township\'s mission and values. I’m also involved in community service, continually seeking ways to grow through workshops, conferences, and webinars. My love for Erie and my ability to connect with others make me a leader who values empathy and collaboration.It’s all about giving back and helping others on their journey, too.    My role centers on creating cohesive, strategic communication that supports our township\'s mission and values. My top priority is external communication, where I serve as the voice of Millcreek Township, keeping residents informed and engaged. This includes working with the Fire, Police, Parks & Recreation, and Emergency Management departments to share updates that align with our goals.My responsibilities cover a broad scope, from crafting press releases, social media, and website content to developing multimedia assets and managing media relations. I also gather and analyze community feedback to ensure our communication evolves in tune with our residents\' needs.Internally, I help keep employees connected with updates through monthly newsletters, digital boards, and township building communications, ensuring clarity and alignment within our team. This dual role allows me to drive both external engagement and internal cohesion for Millcreek Township.
