Use devices such as the Hach HQ40d, the Hach Pocket Colorimeter, VanDorn, secchi, plankton tow, and the Symbol MC70 Scanner to do both daily and weekly projects.• Prep instruments in the morning and record calibrations in logbook. On return, recorded information and delivered barcoded samples to the lab and turned over chain of custody. • Sampled water from sample stations for VOC’s, sVOC’s, alkalinity, metals, chemistry, microbiology, cyanide, nitrites, nitrates, TOC, and UV. Also sampled for pH, conductivity, mV, chlorine, and phosphate levels.• Do complaint runs in testing the water quality located within houses, apartment buildings, and/or hydrants and taking samples from these locations for testing. • Do weekly limnology runs to both Jerome and Hillview Reservoirs in spring/summer/fall months (weather dependent). Sampled multiple locations in each basin and collected samples for lab analysis of listed above. • Assisted in the sampling of wells by taking water samples for testing as listed above, as well as elements such as Uranium.• Used GIS software to monitor location accuracy of sample stations and hydrants. Used other programs in the office to log consumer complaint runs, complete billing sheets, and log my own data.
