New Product Engineers are directly involved where the rubber meets the road in manufacturing. When new designs are being introduced to the production floor, NPEs bridge the gap between design intent and efficient production. Working alongside Project Leads and other engineering departments, an NPE helps refine, problem solve and validate forms and functions to comply with current processes on the manufacturing floor. As part of this support, the NPE also develops tools and fixturing with the tool room to support production. This role has a good balance of hands on tasks and computer aided design. It also well as drafting, CAD, visual aid creation, as well as data collection and analysis.
