ABOUT CHANEL DIAZ
Chanel is a motivated Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellow who has experience in international development, Congress, and non-profit management. She believes in the values of public service and is passionate about international peace building, deescalating threats of forced migration, and cultivating strong inclusive institutions for post-conflict societies.Chanel graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in International Studies and a specialization in the Middle East and North Africa. She also earned her Certificate in Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution through the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. She has completed a Critical Language Scholarship for Arabic and Fulbright Fellowship in Morocco. This fall, she will attend the Harvard Kennedy School as a Harvard Presidential Scholar. After graduation, she will join the U.S. Foreign Service as a U.S. Diplomat.Chanel is a proud daughter of two hard-working Mexican immigrants and is originally from Southern California. She is eager to empower other Latinas and Latinos to seek higher education, commit to public service, and elevate other underrepresented groups.
