About Chandramathi Ramaswamy
Chandramathi Ramaswamy is a UGC-SRF Doctoral Fellow in Social Work (Master’s from Pondicherry Central University) whose work investigates adolescent mental well-being through robust qualitative and quantitative methods and the arts. With over a decade in theatre and more than 500 performances nationally and internationally, she combines rigorous research with practical experience to validate the benefits of creative interventions. As the founder of Agamagizh Art Space, a service enterprise, she has collaborated with esteemed companies like TATA groups, BOSCH, etc. in the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and has trained over participants (including adolescents and children with special needs) across the southern states of India, earning state-level awards for street plays working with government school children. Her acting resume includes a film that won the Tiger Award at IFFR 2021 and roles in web series and upcoming projects. Balancing academia and artistry, she remains committed to fostering a more informed, equitable society.
