The Commerce and Ecosystems Pricing team builds the systems that calculate rates and prices for all of our commercial partners including the multitude of discounts (product based, customer based, company wide, bulk, usage, tiered, etc)- Project and technical lead on the creation of a new pricing subsystem used in our air gapped clouds which streamlined processing, removed multiple dependencies on unreliable and outdated resources, greatly improved reliability, and overall boosted relations between the high side and low side engineers - Worked closely with our high side teams to set up new government contract clouds - Reduced worker runtime by over 50% by reevaluating and optimizing the logic in our partitioning, indexing, and use of data filters - Next up, we will be rebuilding the main pricing engine to leverage more modern technology, scale more easily, and better support price changes/discounts going forward
