At Liberty Mutual, I worked as a Java Full Stack Developer on an underwriting application used by insurance professionals to assess risk, manage quotes, and access historical policy data. I led the migration from legacy REST services to a reactive WebClient approach and upgraded applications to Java 17/21 and Spring Boot 2.0/3.0. On the frontend, I modernized the UI by upgrading Angular versions (2+ to 16), improving performance and maintainability. I implemented security using X.509 certificates, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT tokens, and integrated Splunk and Datadog for real-time monitoring and diagnostics. Additionally, I developed scalable microservices with Spring Boot and Kafka, automated deployments using Jenkins and Docker, and played an active role in Agile delivery and mentoring junior team members.
