Responsible for safeguarding people and property against illegal entry, fire, theft, and vandalism; patrols area of responsibility and conducts surveillance; maintains daily activity log; responds to calls for assistance; conducts preliminary investigations and completes incident reports; ensure that unauthorized people or products do not enter or leave the premises; enforce all Publix security policies and procedures, detain and question person(s) as required; ensure the presence of required security officers and support associates to fulfill all necessary tasks for shift; supervises operations at the truck gate and at the Security Operations Center; ensure the quality of performance of security officers and support associates; serves as a training officer to new associates; works effectively with facility management in matters of safety, security and loss control; completes other security related duties as assigned.
