ABOUT CHANA DEITSCH
I am a Senior studying Statistics at Baruch, with a passion for the Responsible Technology movement. After spending a year abroad studying philosophy and ethics, I realized that my biggest fear is devoting my life to something unfulfilling. I desperately want to help the people around me, and the dangers posed by technology are a cause that I believe to be forcefully demanding attention. Technology and social media have introduced a myriad of concerns: misinformation, polarization, addiction, destruction of democracy, and deterioration of mental health, all issues that plague the nation and necessitate immediate action. I am approaching the Responsible Tech industry from a research angle, instigating change by delving into the large gaps present in the research conducted on technology\'s effect on the population thus far. I am also working to pair my research with advocacy efforts, joining the community asking the law to keep up with the rapidly changing technological world. I aspire to assist in moving the industry towards a safer and more responsibly regulated technological landscape. Open to conversation, networking, and any work opportunities!
