Together, we achieved remarkable milestones, maintaining a staggering 99% financial and clerical accuracy rate. My role extended beyond day-to-day operations as I crafted comprehensive training programs focusing on claims processing, compliance, and medical benefits, contributing to the ongoing culture of excellence and integrity. Standardizing processes and serving as the lead operations and customer service trainer within the Cincinnati Service Center ensured consistency and elevated performance levels.At Miami University Athletics, I took on the role of Sports Insurance Coordinator, where I spearheaded initiatives to streamline claims management for the student-athlete\'s injured during collegiate play. Juggling hundreds of medical bills for a NCAA Division I school demanded a strategic approach and unwavering attention to detail. Instituting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and providing comprehensive process education were necessary to optimize efficiency and ensure accurate payments.Beyond my professional endeavors, I love staying busy. My husband and I own a small business, Spring Street Treats, an ice cream store in a vibrant college town. Additionally, my 12-year administrative support run in higher education at Miami University has endowed me with invaluable insights into process enhancements and strategic planning.I obtained my Certified Professional Coder (CPC-A) in June 2024! I will graduate from the 6-month accelerated Medical Billing and Coding Program at Butler Tech Career Development Center on June 28, 2024. I look forward to obtaining two additional certifications as a Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) and a Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) by July 2024.
