About Chamal Abeysekera
Lifelong technophile and lover of transportation technology. Early career experience starting in advanced R&D at an automotive think tank in Silicon Valley to hands on experience developing powertrain products from proof-of-concept through performance development, certification, and production readiness at Cummins. In 2017 I accepted an expat assignment to build and develop a new highly specialized system performance technical problem solving team in Wuhan, China. Currently Chief Engineer and System Validation Leader for Global 3.8L, 4.0L, and 4.5L on-highway and off-highway current products with plants and JVs in UK, India, China, and Brazil.I have an unquenchable passion for what I do and I am excited to be a part of this industry during an era of unprecedented change. There are countless challenges on the horizon and I see every one of them as an opportunity waiting to be seized.
