ABOUT CHALACE CAMPBELL
As an Indigenous Registered Social Worker, I seek to critically and meaningfully work through a collaborative stance to help improve our communities and the people that I work with. I have demonstrated strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, a strong work ethic and a lifestyle that serves as an excellent role model. As a social worker, I have worked in the following fields; prisons, parole, probations, youth work, homelessness, social housing, mental health, addictions, child welfare, family casework, harm reduction, domestic violence and support work. I’ve worked youth, adults and families with complex needs offering psycho social assessments and individual, family and group and clinical therapy. I work from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, post-modern feminist and strength based approach. I have experience supervising and teaching Bachelor of Social Work trainees and psychology practicum students. I also have extensive experience working in interdisciplinary teams. I have experienced a great deal of personal and professional satisfaction from this career, further reinforcing my passion for being a social worker.
