   Initially worked as a team of 1 person for the first year and took over lines of codes - and helped to train and onboard a second teammate. Nomad (a Kubernetes alternative) runs as a binary and sits between user’s applications and their infrastructure. This required me to intimately learn distributed services and the challenges engineering teams have with edge deployments, scaling to millions of users and more.\\\\n\\\\n-Refactored the resource identifier for the main entity of the application from using query parameters to serialize the identifier in the URL which resolved 4 open issues on Github that caused the UI to crash and deleted lines of code.\\\\n\\\\n-Improved developer experience by rewriting legacy parts of the application from Ember Classic to Octane.\\\\n\\\\n-Upgraded packages after inheriting an application that was 3 stable releases behind and causing unexpected bugs.\\\\n\\\\n-Redesigned breadcrumbs navigation throughout the application impacting lines of code across 70+ files.\\\\n\\\\n-Recruited, interviewed, onboarded and trained a Senior Software Engineer to take lead over the codebase.\\\\n\\\\n-Visualized a linked list to help users find the source of infrastructure issues during high-pressure outages using D3 & XState.\\\\n\\\\n-Created a derived state computation of job status by client node that was so well received by open source users that it was demoed at HashiConf USA and used to refactor existing chart visualizations in Nomad.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
