ABOUT CHAITANYA SHINKHEDE

Dr. Chaitanya Shinkhede is a distinguished faculty member, researcher, and academician in the field of Mass Communication and Journalism. He holds a Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Applications and a Master\'s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from RTMNU, Nagpur. Dr. Shinkhede has qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, as well as the State Eligibility Tests (SET) for Maharashtra and Karnataka in Mass Communication. Additionally, he possesses both a Bachelor\'s and a Master\'s degree in Ancient Indian History, Culture, and Archaeology, with a keen understanding of ancient Indian architecture and iconography. He earned his Ph.D. from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune, with a thesis titled “Assessing Sustainability of Rural Community Radio in Maharashtra with Special Reference to Mann Deshi Taranga,” which provides a toolkit for rural community radio stations to evaluate sustainability through innovation and strategy. This toolkit has also been published as a book. Dr. Shinkhede is an expert in teaching Radio Production, Media Law and Ethics, Media Research, Communication Theory, and Development Communication. His research interests include Communication for Social Development, Community Media, Participatory Development, and Critical Theory. He has contributed to an ICSSR IMPRESS project at PAH Solapur University, investigating the strategic use of social media by non-profit organizations for development and cultural transformation at the grassroots level. Dr. Shinkhede is an avid book reviewer. He is fond of reading books of various dicsciplines. His reviewes are published in the Asian Journal of Women’s Studies, Gender, Place, and Culture, South Asia Research, and Journalims and Mass Communication Educator.His previous teaching engagements include positions at Gondwana University, Karnavati University, MIT-WPU, DYIPU, MMCC, and PAHSUS. He has also completed a short course in Digital Film Editing from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Dr. Shinkhede has published numerous research papers in UGC-CARE journals and writes in Marathi and Hindi. He actively participates in various Faculty Development Programs, Seminars, and National and International Conferences.
