Chaitanya is Harmonium player, composer and musicologist. He is one of the leading artistes having accompanied maestros such as Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Pt. Dinkar Kaikini, Dr. Prabha Atre, Pt. Ramashrey Jha, Pt. Balasaheb Punchhawale, Pt. Yashwantbuwa Joshi, NrityaPanditaa Rohini Bhate, Pt. Birju Maharaj, Vasundhara Komkali, Pt. Channulal Mishra and leading artistes such as Rajan-Sajan Mishra, Ulhas Kashalkar, Rashid Khan, Padma Talawalkar, Shruti Sadolikar, Ashwini Bhide - Deshpande, Veena Sahasrabuddhe, Arati Ankalikar - Tikekar and many others. He has toured in USA, Australia,New Zealand, Dubai and Japan for concerts as well as solo Harmonium playing and lec-dems. Chaitanya has given Solo Harmonium performances in Pune, Thane, Ahmedabad, etc. He was honored with ‘Pt. Govindrao Patwardhan Award for Excellence in Harmonium’ in 2007. Chaitanya have received fellowship for his research on ‘Tappa’ from Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. He is founder director of \'Dr. Ashok Da. Ranade Archives\', Pune. Specialties: Chaitanya’s compositions cover a wide range of genre such as Khayal, Tappa, Tarana, Chataranga, Sadra, Saragam-geet,Thumari, Dadra, Bhajan etc. He has scored music for ‘Geet-Govindam’, ‘Meghadootam’ and Sanskrit Stotras, Kathak dance and choreography, Oddissi and BharatNatyam dance ballets.
