Duties and Proven CapabilitiesManagerial:> Managing the complete NGS lab operations at Medgenome for Clinical Applications.> Manage a team of research associates in all NGS based activities.> Delegate Duties and responsibilities to the team members based on their skill set and ensure the smooth running of the processes.> Being a Clinical Genomics set up and TAT critical domain, the process demands a constant follow up and vigilance practices. Implemented systems to ensure the process runs without any delays.> Inter departmental coordination (Both Upstream and Downstream processes) to ensure the Quality Data/Final output is delivered with No Delay.> Draftting and implementation of SOPs for the Lab processes.> Setting high standards for the Lab processes and delivering the output with high levels of efficiency and Quality.> Reporting and documentation of all duties.Technical :> Test and evaluate new technologies/platforms/methods/protocols for NGS sample processing (nucleic acid extraction, library prep and sequencing) for faster, cost effective and more scalable processes, including high throughput lab automation and taking GCP-conform implementation into account.> Supporting the lab development team with regard to the set-up of the core facility and the future scale up of the processes, including equipment qualification and method validation under GCP regulations.> Hands-on processing of samples in the lab (from the momemt the samples are in, till the sequencing Data is out).> Thorough working knowledge on Illumina platform and up to date information on the competing platforms in the Genomics market.> Good hands on experience on MLPA based tests, data Interpretation and report generation.> Good experience on Library Prep automation (Specializing in Agilent BRAVO) developing new protocols, editing and troubleshooting.
