Originally founded in early 2020 to aid in college planning as Cap Consulting, I was forced to pivot due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I missed the client relationships built in public accounting and loved working with individuals to save money on taxes - Upwork filled the hole and allowed Cap to flourish by providing an avenue back into this realm.With recent organic and inorganic growth, it became time to rebrand: Kahlenbeck CPA Group is a growing firm focusing on accounting and tax. We work with businesses and their owners to navigate the complicated world of tax, offering compliance and planning. We also serve individuals and their tax needs.

ABOUT CHAISE KAHLENBECK
Working in public accounting, I had the opportunity to be exposed to many facets of tax compliance and planning. I enjoyed engaging with clients and using my knowledge to help solve problems. That experience was invaluable as I continue to grow personally and professionally.As I transitioned to industry, a new challenge was in front of me. I was excited to learn at a deeper level about a single industry, honing in on how tax can impact business decisions.The pull of public was too strong - I missed the client interaction and the work. That led me to side hustling a firm while working in industry, allowing me to work with businesses and individuals all across the United States. Eventually it made sense to jump all in on the firm. In June 2024, we acquired Apple Tree Financial Group, merging that in with Cap Consulting and rebranding as Kahlenbeck CPA Group. I look forward to the relationships we\'ll build as we continue to grow the firm.What gets me fired up? Finding solutions and striving for improvement in all areas of life, whether that be accounting, tax, higher education, or on an athletic field. I\'ve always enjoyed building relationships, but have recently taken on a greater role in building professional relationships.When not in the office, you\'ll find me enjoying the outdoors with my family, gardening, or on the softball field.
