ABOUT CHAEWON KANG
Hello, I\'m Chaewon! I’m an undergraduate at the University of Toronto studying Political Science, Environmental Studies, and Sustainability.Across experiences at 13 organizations spanning companies, nonprofits, research groups, and student-led organizations, my work has involved research, consulting, and interdisciplinary projects: Driving strategic communications and research at the Circular Innovation Council for circular economy programs. Supporting client-facing consulting engagement at S-Core (Samsung Group subsidiary consulting arm), conducting market research, customer journey mapping & UX/UI benchmarking, and data analysis to inform strategic recommendations. Conducting ArcGIS spatial analysis, policy research, and cross-sector stakeholder engagement through the Toronto Climate Summer School x Toronto Climate Observatory, producing recommendations on urban mobility and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure.🤝 Leading cross-functional teams at Global Spark to design a strategy for and execute the world\'s largest multidisciplinary social impact hackathon with BCG, engaging over 300 participants annually and 30+ industry professionals. Leading a pro-bono consulting project with the Town of Oakville, conducting stakeholder interviews and evaluating IDEA training systems to deliver actionable recommendations for implementation.Across these experiences, I\'ve developed strengths in problem-solving, research, stakeholder communication, cross-functional collaboration, and process design, particularly in bringing together different perspectives to navigate complex challenges. I\'m currently seeking roles where strategy, sustainability, and responsible innovation intersect where I can contribute to solving problems through interdisciplinary and systems-level thinking.
