I am the author of more than 20 children\'s books with Scholastic Children\'s Book, Nosy Crow, Little Tiger and Little Door. Five more books are set to be published 2021/22.Key Achievements- Winner of the Bookbug Picture Book Prize 2018 for Gorilla Loves Vanilla- Winner of the Scottish Children\'s Book Awards 2014 in the Bookbug category for Jumblebum- Highly Commended in the Sheffield Children\'s Book Awards 2013 for Jumblebum- Winner of the Dundee Picture book Award 2011 for Loon On The Moon- Shortlisted for Scottish Children\'s Book Awards 2011 for Loon On The Moon- Host of the Scottish Children\'s Book Awards 2013. MC for entire ceremony at Dundee\'s Caird Hall, in front of hundreds of children and teachers, and broadcast live online. Worked with Scottish Book Trust to write script for hour-long show- Loon On The Moon chosen for CBeebies Book at Bedtime, read by actor Toby Stephens- Chosen for BBC Authors Live broadcast - 40 minute-long show in front of live audience filmed at BBC at Pacific Quay in Glasgow. Broadcast live online to schools and nurseries across the country- Words and illustrations from The Tickle Tree chosen by Morgan Stanley Children\'s Hospital in New York to be used on a large scale mural in Intensive Care Unit- Regular appearances at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Wigtown Book Festival, Borders Book Festival and many more- Chosen for for week-long tour of schools in Brighton & Hove in 2014 as part of the Scottish Friendly Children\'s Book Tour- Tour of UK schools from Newcastle to London and many points in between in support of Jumblebum launch in 2013- Invited by hundreds of schools and libraries across the UK and as far afield as Bucharest to present my hour-long all-singing, interactive book event to thousands of children. Also led literacy workshops in primary schools across UK- Jumblebum listed in top 10 books (adult and children) borrowed from Essex libraries 2014.
