Lead and support mechanical electronics packaging efforts for space satellites, air vehicles, and ground equipment utilizing MCAD/ECAD, thermal, and structural analysis software. • Perform mechanical design and packaging of antenna, RF, digital, infrastructure, and test hardware products, including aerospace modules, racks, and interface test adapters. • Execute thermal and structural analyses, electrical-mechanical tradeoffs, verification testing and qualification testing. • Complete environmental gap analysis on Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) assemblies and subsequent development and testing to meet all environmental requirements. • Responsible for release of drawings, build procedures, and test reports. • Provide sustaining support to production lines for mechanical related issues thru root cause analysis and engineering design changes as required. • Leverage Additive Manufacturing (AM) expertise for creation of tooling/fixtures, prototypes, or deliverable products, with the goal of improving production efficiency, reducing product development timelines, decreasing weight, reducing cost, minimizing part count, shortening lead-times, and/or accessing new technical capability not previously available with traditional manufacturing processes.
