I am responsible for the entire data platform supporting Movies Anywhere and its five studio partners.Movies Anywhere is a premium digital locker and playback experience funded by the top Movie Studios in the entertainment industry; Disney, Universal, Warner Bros, Sony, and Fox. The goal is to increase digital sales and understand in-home consumer behavior. The app lets users connect their Movies Anywhere digital locker to their favorite retailers and access their entire movie collection from every major device and platform. Product Management-Establish the data roadmap and use agile methodologies to drive all internal-external data projects through to completion. Gather, document, and communicate product requirements. Write agile stories. Groom and manage the data engineering backlog. Schedule and conduct sprint planning. Leverage a team of five data engineers, three data analysts, and one data scientist to develop product features and support business goals. Project Management -Prioritize development based on both the data roadmap and global product roadmap. Work with engineering management and internal data sources to determine resource requirements and level-of-effort estimates for product features. Establish feature delivery dates. Communicate project status to business stakeholders. Product Design -Design analytics schemas and data collection methodologies for all product features. Facilitate discussion with analysts, backend engineers, frontend engineers, and data engineers to evaluate tradeoffs and determine the correct approach. Work with data science and data engineering on all data driven product features. Partner Management-Manage the relationship with data related service providers and studio partners. Review contracts. Schedule and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews. Manage slack channels and ongoing communication.
