Currently a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Washington and Idaho. I serve as the Group Leader, Project Manager, and Project Engineer in the Water Resources practice at David Evans and Associates Inc. in Olympia, WA on the design of WSDOT and local agency fish passage, bridge replacement, and highway drainage projects. I also have a variety of surveying, design, and construction inspection experience on public works projects.Within civil engineering I enjoy improving and preserving our community by working on water resource projects such as improving hydraulic structures for fish passage, managing stormwater runoff, and floodplain management. Perform project management, business development, staff management, financial performance monitoring, and both internal and external stakeholder engagement for the Puget Sound Region Water Resources Group.• Conducted and led a team through data collection, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, channel design, stream stability assessment, scour analysis, and stakeholder engagement to produce preliminary hydraulic reports using SMS SRH:2D, FHWA’s HY-8 and Hydraulic Toolbox, HEC-RAS, and Microsoft Office Suite for 3 WSDOT fish barriers, 5 WA State Park fish barriers, 9 Idaho Transportation Department water crossings, and 1 city-owned water crossing in Aberdeen, WA for small unnamed tributaries, creeks, canals, and 2 rivers.• Led drainage, stream, temporary erosion and sediment control (TESC), and utility coordination design and final plan sheet development using MicroStation InRoads (MS/IR) and Autodesk Civil 3D (C3D) for a WSDOT fish barrier removal, a WSDOT roundabout, and a Marion County streambank stabilization project.• Led drainage, TESC, and stream disciplines on 2 WSDOT design build (DB) pursuits and was the key DEA staff member for the contractor, prime engineer, WSDOT subject matter experts, and proposal writing.• Support project managers on all projects by tracking budgets, schedules, communicating with clients on out-of-scope work, and producing level of estimates and written justifications for additional requested funds.• Supervise up to 5 EIT staff and provide career development, performance reviews, and mentorship.• Support high quality deliverables by becoming certified quality manager and developing written QC processes.• Completed project manager certification and immediately started managing 2 final design stormwater projects and 1 fish passage design assistance project.
