As Co-Founder and Executive Director, I lead the strategic growth and operations of Buffalo Fashion Runway (BFR), a community-centered nonprofit that uplifts local designers, artists, and entrepreneurs through fashion, arts, and cultural programming. I oversee event production, sponsorship development, team management, and partnerships, ensuring our work reflects creativity, resilience, and social impact.Key Duties -Direct organizational strategy, business development, and long-term sustainability planning.Secure sponsorships, grants, and partnerships with institutions such as M&T Bank, Shea’s Performing Arts Center, Buffalo Sabres, and community foundations.Produce and curate large-scale cultural events, including runway shows, community block parties, and youth workshops.Manage teams of designers, models, creatives, and volunteers, while building systems for coordination and growth.Lead community engagement efforts, collaborating with schools, nonprofits, and businesses to create accessible opportunities in fashion/arts.Highlighted Projects & Achievements -Black Carpet II: Produced Buffalo’s largest community fashion show to date, attracting nearly attendees, featuring over 100 creatives, and raising funds for community causes.Black Carpet at Shea’s (2026 upcoming): Secured Shea’s Performing Arts Center as the venue partner for the next major event, making BFR an official centennial partner of Shea’s.Educational Collaborations: Led workshops and partnerships with South Park High School, STRIVE Youth, and The Foundry, teaching students brand-building, entrepreneurship, and event production.Sponsorship Growth: Negotiated and managed sponsorships from Fortune 500 companies and regional foundations, securing financial stability and in-kind support for events.Community Impact: Engaged thousands of attendees across multiple events, creating economic opportunities for vendors, exposure for local creatives, and platforms for youth voices.
