Currently working on a strategic project related to Critical Healthcare small package performance improvement. Worked with a team of highly dedicated UPS experts to design, develop and implement a Daily Profit Forecast tool which took an existing monthly process and the associated data to a daily/weekly level to provide more timely operational and financial insights. This was required because our business was being impacted by the continued growth of eCommerce (volume), more frequent fluctuations in customer demand driving B2B to B2C as well as fluctuating peak season characteristic changes such as shipping urgency, weather conditions, operational expansion and business holiday impacts. The new tool provided advanced business analytics, predictive modeling and insights due to visibility of daily detailed operational and financial information that had never been available before. This was used by senior management to make more informed decisions during the chaotic Peak Season. Other past assignments included providing project management support to the iParcel integration and the early phases of the SF Express Joint Venture and other smaller internal efforts. Worked with VP of UPS Transportation Management Services to design and implement an outsourced solution for GE. Provided onsite and remote project management oversight and coordination with the global UPS and GE resources in Heffe, China and Pune, India as well as Shanghai, China and Bangalore, India. Existing UPS GBS shared services facilities which were internally focused were expanded and personnel with similar skill sets were shifted to focus externally on GE customs clearance tasks. This partnership created a win-win situation by turning the UPS GBS cost center into a revenue producing unit and provided additional career paths for others within GBS. It also producing a tremendous cost savings for GE and centralized management, increased standardization and compliance of their customs clearance activities.
