ABOUT CHAD OHLANDT

As a public policy analyst my research interests involve government acquisition, project management, systems engineering, and industrial base issues. With a background in aerospace engineering and scientific computing, I focus on major, multi-year, technologically advanced system development such as space systems, aircraft, ground vehicles, and ships as well as the underlying research and development (R&D) infrastructure. With a background in Asia-Pacific politics and experience living in China, a secondary area of expertise is international economic integration of technically advanced industries, especially aerospace. This includes corporate collaboration and competition between U.S. and Chinese companies as well as other international partners from places such as Japan, EU, India, Taiwan, and others. Of course, a strength is government policy impacts on these relationships.PhD in Aerospace Engineering and Scientific Computing focusing on advanced space propulsion and supercomputing.
