I assist small to mid-sized businesses with the complexity of the Affordable Care Act and increasing cost of compliance by brokering employee benefit insurance programs and lowering their total cost of benefits. My main focus is on Fire Protection Districts, IAFF Locals and FOP lodges across the state of Missouri. In 2011 I developed a hybrid life/disability insurance program with The Standard Insurance Company for firefighters and police officers with a defined benefit pension program. This program protects officers and firefighters (who typically have additional sources of income from their pension and side jobs) who become permanently and totally disabled by paying their disability benefit in a single payment.
