At Petmate, I’ve taken on the exciting challenge of establishing a Lean and Continuous Improvement culture from the ground up. My focus has been on driving operational excellence by implementing hands-on leadership through Kaizen initiatives. One of the key projects I’ve led is a three-phase Lean deployment that’s had a massive impact on our operations.• In Phase 1, I worked with the team to reorganize our manufacturing processes, introduce visual management tools, and streamline material handling, which resulted in a $3.5M savings and improved inventory accuracy by 75%.• Phase 2 saw us reorganize indirect labor departments, allowing us to save $600K without increasing headcount.• Phase 3 focused on identifying waste in our production process and introducing technology upgrades that have modernized our capabilities and brought in $4.5M in savings.I’m also proud to have facilitated the closure of one of our plants in Tennessee, ensuring a seamless relocation of machinery that saved us $1.1M. It’s been rewarding to not only lead these initiatives but to also build and support a talented team while helping shape Petmate\'s future.
