ABOUT CHAD HILLIGUS

Chad Hilligus is a nationally recognized performing arts leader with more than 20 years of collective industry experience as an artist, producer, artistic director, fundraiser, curator, presenter, and chief executive for multiple venues, overseeing organizational budgets exceeding $10+ million. In 2021, Chad became the Chief Executive Officer of the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto, California. During his tenure, the Gallo Center has been consistently recognized by Pollstar as a Top 10 Venue in the World based on ticket sales for venues 1,500 seats or less.Prior to the Gallo Center, Chad served as the Executive and Artistic Director of Performance Santa Fe in New Mexico following five years at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, California as Director of Development, Major Gifts, and Resident Producer overseeing special projects.Chad has presented, produced, or performed in thousands of shows in more than twenty different countries across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. A former member of the multi-platinum classical crossover group The Ten Tenors, Chad first gained professional acclaim starring as Tony in the 50th Anniversary World Tour of West Side Story. Following his graduate studies in opera, Chad performed as a Resident Artist with Sarasota Opera, Nashville Opera, Tulsa Opera, and San Diego Opera.As the Founding Producer of Innovative Arts Live, Chad has worked closely with icons including Kristin Chenoweth, Tyne Daly, Lucie Arnaz, Alan Cumming, Florence Henderson, Gavin MacLeod, Lily Tomlin, and a long list of Broadway and television stars. Producing highlights include West Side Story in Concert at Boston\'s Symphony Hall as part of the Bernstein Centennial with Keith Lockhart and The Boston Pops, Carol Channing’s 95th Birthday Spectacular at the McCallum Theatre, and being invited by Ms. Channing\'s family to produce her official memorial celebration.Appointed to the California Presenters Association Board of Directors in 2018, Chad chaired the California Leadership Program and was elected Board Secretary in 2023. Chad also currently serves on the boards for Visit Modesto and the Downtown Modesto Partnership.
