Performing Radiological Surveys of Outgoing/Incoming Radioactive Shipments in Compliance with DOT and NRC Regulations. • Maintain Inventory of Radioactive Equipment stored in Satellite Radiologically Controlled Areas. • Coordinating with Work Planning, Security, Maintenance, Radiation Protection, and Operations to meet shipment schedules. • Assist Radwaste Shippers with Receiving, packaging, and shipping radioactive materials in compliance with applicable transportation regulations. • Assist Radwaste Shippers with selecting the appropriate packaging, determining the proper marking, labeling & placard, and preparing the required Department of Transportation (DOT) and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) documents for each shipment of radioactive material. • Perform RP Job Coverage for all Radwaste activities, including Filter Consolidations, Resin Transfers, HIC Changeouts, and Cask Shipments. • Assist in Reviewing Shipping Paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and procedural and regulatory compliance. • Currently Certified Radwaste Shipper per NRC Bulletin IE 79-19, 10 CFR 71.5, and DOT 49 CFR. • Calibrates Radiation Instrumentation for Optimal Use to Obtain Accurate Detection Results. • Serving as One of the Technical Support SME’s for Department Initiatives, Including Omnicast Administration, GEDDS Administration, WBN OneNote Implementation, and WebEx Meeting Training. • Serving in Multiple Roles, Including RP Instrument Technician, Radwaste Shipping Technician, RMS Audio/Video Support Technician, and REP Shift Technician. • Perform All Technician and REP Duties from High-Risk Job Coverage to Control Point Lead.
