    Western Service Center, Quality Control Group/Technical Operations ESOG Team AServes as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist (OSHS) for the Air Traffic Organization with overall authority and responsibility for compliance with federal, state and local Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health regulations.Applies experience and advanced knowledge applicable to my discipline to plan and accomplish all assignments. Duties included in the planning, organizing and execution of actions in the area of safety and/or occupational health with primary responsibility to conduct safety inspections. Inspection Program encompasses a wide range of safety, health, and environmental inspections. The areas of inspection include, but are not limited to; facility housekeeping, slip, trip and fall hazards, personal protective equipment, fall protection, electrical safety, fire and life safety, confined space entry, asbestos, lead, blood borne pathogens, hazard communication, hearing conservation, tool safety, machine guarding, general work conditions, radiation safety, vehicle safety, employee health exposure, respiratory protection and indoor air quality. Inspections are conducted on all FAA Lines Of Business (LOBs) with-in the FAA. Coordinates with stakeholders to establish annual inspection schedule, ensuring timely communications and extensive research for previous deficiencies, open/closed findings, and open Unsatisfactory Condition Reports (UCR’s). Prepare and conduct pre/post inspection briefings for managers, technicians, coordinators and bargaining union personnel. Ensure timely and accurate data entry into the Workplace Inspection Tool (WIT) database. Coordinate official travel for all aspects of the inspection and meet all required timelines for vouchering process. Actively encourage and support managers and leadership to abide by OSHA guidelines and FAA goals for timely abatement of hazards, mitigation or submission of appropriate abatement plan(s).
