Chad brings over 26 years of expertise in fire protection, security, and emergency management to colleagues and clients. Before joining Marsh in 2014, he led the life safety services department at a large architectural-engineering firm headquartered in Syracuse, New York, where he led a multi-discipline team providing fire protection, security, telecommunication, and environmental abatement design solutions for clients such as the US Army Corps of Engineers, US Department of Defense, US Department of Energy, Corning Incorporated, the commercial nuclear power sector, as well as hundreds of other public and private clients across the United States.Chad\'s fire and emergency medical service career began in 1993, progressing from firefighter to chief officer, with extensive experience in engine and truck company operations with a specialization in technical rescue. He responded to over emergency service calls during his twelve years in the municipal fire service.His areas of expertise include- Property protection program evaluation- Regulatory code consulting- Hazard and risk analysis- Emerging property risks such as solar/photovoltaic arrays, battery energy storage systems (BESS), lithium ion battery use and storage, electric vehicles, etc- Performance-based fire protection design in automated warehousing (Alert, Knapp, Symbotic, Witron, Swiss Log, Auto Store, Grey Orange, Dematic, Opex, etc.) and warehousing with ignitable liquids and aerosols - Fire protection system design and installation- Security threat assessment and vulnerability analysis- Security system design and installation- Emergency response and business continuity planningChad also holds the prestigious Triple Crown status from the American Society of Industrial Security, a distinction achieved by fewer than 300 professionals worldwide.
