About Chad Ackerson
I’m a filmmaker and storyteller whose work centers around human complexity and resilience. After almost a decade of directing and producing creative projects, I’m now pursuing a Master of Public Health at Brown University, to deepen my understanding of health equity, trauma-informed care, and systems reform. My next chapter is focused on integrating my background in media with legal and public health advocacy. I plan to pursue law school, with the goal of becoming a legal advocate for survivors of gender-based violence and advancing trauma-centric justice. I’m drawn to the intersection of law, storytelling, and community healing, and committed to using creative expression as a catalyst for cultural transformation and policy reform.
