I am an engineering leader with 17 years of experience in building and operating large scale infrastructure services and 0-1 products. At Amazon Web Services and Meta, I’ve managed infrastructure organizations of ~80, delivering distributed databases (storage and query processing), compute infrastructure, and real time streaming/ live video infrastructure.I currently lead the dataplane for Amazon Aurora DSQL, owning query processing, storage, distributed transaction processing, request routing and secure compute infrastructure. I’m responsible for technical strategy, architecture and operational excellence across correctness, durability, performance, scale, security, and availability/reliability.

From early architecture through launch, I helped build and scale the service to deliver availability and industry-leading performance, achieving 4x faster results than established competitors.My teams own query processing, storage engine, request routing, distributed transaction processing, and secure VM infrastructure — with full accountability for security, durability, correctness, scale, performance, and availability.
