As part of Core Infrastructure team, currently working on Streams (PubSub) space. Given Kafka\'s scaling limitations at LinkedIn\'s scale, we are transitioning to a new platform called NorthGuard: Working on Shared Dictionary Compression service for Northguard, a Tier 0 service which stores and creates dictionaries for all topics, which is used for compressing messages, helping reduce bandwidth of message transmission between client and broker and improve disk usage on brokers- Also working on Rust based client for the new pubsub stack, contributing to Linkedin wide initiative to make Rust core language used in the company.Previously worked on Ambry, Linkedin\'s Highly Available Distributed Exabyte Blob Storage used for storing Media, Feed and Snapshots.https://engineering.linkedin.com/teams/data/data-infrastructure/storage-infra/ambry- Contributed to migration of Ambry a stateful system to Kubernetes stack in Linkedin, a big effort that included a lot of performance tuning and ensuring that availability is not compromised in the new stack with automated remediation of unhealthy hosts and OS updates- Optimized startup logic of server that led to improving Bootstrapping times of a new server by ~30%, helping us achieve our goal of Disaster recovery.
