I like to constantly expand my abilities through work with other competent problem solvers. I equally enjoy cracking hard technical problems and working in diverse teams. I have not only developed a broad vision of quantum information science, quantum computing, and many-body physics, but have also gathered a wide spectrum of skills ranging from creative and analytic thinking, to team leading, project management, and software development- Programming skills in Java, Python, PHP, C, C++, Mathematica, HTML, CSS. through many years of usage in science, development of two Android Apps and several websites (in particular Lead Developer of the WordPress Plugin for quantum-journal.org)- Software development and agile methods through several years of regular usage of Git, SVN, Jira, Emacs, ant, Make, sed, awk. and more recently Pylint, cProfile, PHPunit, TravisCI- Machine learning through research on adversarial methods for delineating phases with AI [https://arxiv.org/abs/18•••••19] and the use of quantum algorithms to speed up inference in Markov Logic Networks [https://arxiv.org/abs/16•••••04]- Leadership and management through work in and the leading of diverse and distributed teams in science and the management of Quantum (Founder and Execute Board, roughly CTO and CEO), and the supervision of PhD students- Proficient communicator through dozens of scientific talks at conferences, over 25 scientific publications, blog posts, press releases, panel discussions, interviews- Business analysis through work for the launch of Quantum and, e.g, currently an analysis of its peer-review process [https://quantum-journal.org/views/qv-20•••••85/]- Interest in user interfaces (UI) and design visible in the App Pen & PDF, quantum-journal.org and the quantumarticle.cls LaTeX document class- Committee experience through seat on the MC of a European COST network, SB of the Free Journal Network, and SC of the Quantum Thermodynamics Conference Serie.
