I strive to increase people\'s productivity through design, and I strongly believe that software should be most helpful, tangible, contextual, and beautiful on any surface. I take part in research and user testing sessions, interpret field studies, and analyze metrics and funnels to understand people\'s needs, and their behaviors. I do my best work when I can be informed by quantitative and qualitative data. I sketch early stage wireframes, high–fidelity visuals and prototypes, and build meaningful interactions. I frequently jump into code to help with some nitpicky design details, too. As a designer, I feel responsible for the entire life cycle of software. Perceived speed, animations, affordances, accessibility, load times, memory consumption, battery drain, and people\'s surroundings play a huge role in creating beautiful and usable software. I enjoy documenting, and updating design specs which can include diagrams, designs, prototypes, and whatever is needed to make sure we can ship amazing software. I work closely with engineers to understand API limitations and to make sure designs are feasible, maintainable and usable. I set the highest standards for myself, and demand the same from my peers. I frequently say “no” in order to maintain a sharp focus on important things.
