About Colin Espinales
My passion is working to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace where all can thrive and grow. Throughout my time at LinkedIn, I have worked hard to create a diverse and inclusive environment, not only in our office but with my clients as well. As a member of our InDay committee, I helped plan monthly events for our employees to focus on themselves, the company, and the world. Part of this included me being a liaison with our Employee Resource Groups, meeting monthly with each groups to learn how we can promote their initiatives and activities, which span from recruiting diverse talent to fostering the diverse talent hired. This led me to becoming a more active member of our Latinx Employee Resource Group HOLA, most recently residing as the North American co-lead. I have led many conversations with my clients on diversity and inclusion efforts, not only focused on finding and hiring diverse talent, but getting executive buy in, breaking unconscious biases, and retaining diverse talent. In 2021, I transitioned my career into working on DEI full time, taking a role on our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging team, allowing me to focus on transforming careers for our underrepresented communities. Most recently, as the ERG Lead, I focus on driving engagement and alignment within the ERG ecosystem and the DIBs global strategy. This includes setting direction and strategy for ERG initiatives, overseeing project portfolios, and providing coaching to business leaders on employee needs and social trends.I truly believe this is the most important initiative businesses can undertake to be successful, and I enjoy creating strategies to help make organizations more equitable and inclusive.
