About Cesar Estrada
I am an attorney admitted in New York. I have a J.D. and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. My legal interest include criminal law and procedure. After graduating from Notre Dame, I will return to New York City where I will begin my legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Manhattan DA\'s office, where in the long term I want to specialize in white collar prosecution. My interests include public policy, in particular policy addressing race and class issues in the criminal justice system and police accountability, anti-racist prosecution, and building community trust in law enforcement agencies in New York City and around the country. I have a publication with the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy titled \"Social Movement Theory and The Role of Qualified Immunity in Increasing Political Violence.\" It can be found here: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=40•••84 In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my rescue dog Mauricio, jam out in a garage band with my grad school friends, and add more books to my reading queue that I can possibly read in this free time.
