Employment commenced with KTA (Kelly Taylor and Associates) 9 March 2020. Transitioned to Hydrock (Hydrock Consultants Limited) 1 June 2022 following its acquisition of KTA under the TUPE regs. Further transitioned to Stantec 1 January 2025 after its acquisition of Hydrock, continuing contributions to large-scale projects and industry advancements.In building services engineering, I have been involved in supporting project delivery teams, introducing new contract/specifications, testing/commissioning, advanced design, installation, and managing utility services application/connections, high/low voltage distribution, generation and earthing systems.Key Roles & Responsibilities:• Designing a full pack of electrical systems in compliance with BS/EN standards, including:Lighting SystemsPower Distribution SystemsContainment SystemsFire Detection and Alarms (incl. Voice Alarms)Security and Lightning Protection Systems• Completing electrical design work during planning/tender stages.• Supporting project control and performing site supervision and inspections.• Managing work packages or projects effectively to meet client objectives.• Handling technical queries and providing advice to internal teams and clients.• Ensuring timely project delivery and client satisfaction.• Preparing design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.• Conducting site inspections and witnessing testing and commissioning.• Carrying out QA/QC reviews and coordinating across disciplines.• Reviewing electrical designs/specifications for compliance and safety.• Developing design criteria for medium and low-voltage systems, including protective devices, transformers, and switchgear.• Advising clients on electrical solutions that meet their needs and safety standards.• Performing network analyses to identify issues and propose solutions.With a focus on technical excellence and client collaboration, I strive to ensure high-quality outcomes across all project stages.
