About Celynda Roach
Imagine an emergency room - no one dies, but the internet is life and death. Keeping all services up and running at peak speed and taking care of Customers, Associates, Government Affairs and Financials each day has been my mission for nearly two decades.In conjunction with my role at Spaklight, I have enjoyed serving the Treasure Valley and great state of Idaho through several non-profit and community organizations. Some contributions include- Collaborated with 6 Sparklight systems throughout Idaho to generate $90K to support the Idaho STEM Action Center by funding 3 Traveling STEM Labs to support rural Idaho schools- Strengthened Idaho dig laws and public safety in the state of Idaho; led conversation and collaboration among multiple stakeholders including lobbyists, utility companies, telecommunication firms and construction entities to ultimately develop clear guidelines and consensus for new dig laws- Planned and organized annual dinner event for Idaho legislators over the past 18 consecutive years with attendance up to 180 guests; coordinated all details including speaker selection, invitations, budget oversite, web communications, and post-event video and press materials- Lobbied for 6 years for the Cable Services Act that simplified the franchise process for cable companies and municipalities
