WORK HISTORY
Osstp Lab Manager, Structures Lead of Swarm-ex @Olin Satellite Spectrum Technology & Policy Group Osstp
Needham, MA, US
I am working on the Structures and System subteams as part of a NSF-funded research project called\"Space Weather Atmospheric Reconfigurable Multiscale Experiment CubeSat (SWARM-EX).\" The project is a collaboration between 6 colleges/universities (University of Colorado Boulder, Stanford, University of South Alabama, Western Michigan University, Olin, and Georgia Tech). Together, we are constructing a CubeSat that will be launched in 2023 and will be used to collect atmospheric data. As part of my role on this team, I am leading the Structures subteam, which includes working in CAD and FEA to ensure that CubeSat will meet the structural requirements and completing trade studies on different components and processes. I have also conducted research in radiation effects mitigation for the components in this mission and helped design a ground station system for communication with the CubeSats. Lastly, I have a passion for orbital debris mitigation and have pursued this by conducting research in the post-mission disposal of different commercial NGSO satellite constellations and conjunction analysis in megaconstellations.
