ABOUT CELINA W. STEWART
I discover problems or opportunities and put a plan together to resolve them. From the private to public sector and even some spaces in between, I work to develop solutions that balance the toughest of challenges while working to coach and train teams and leaders towards excellence. An attorney by trade with a decade of experience spanning voting and civil rights, antitrust, negotiation and business infrastructure, my goal is always to leave situations, people, and communities in a better place than when I arrived. I have a passion for supporting businesses thrive and helping underrepresented communities build bridges to overcome economic, cultural, political and social disparities. In my current role, I lead a century old voting rights organization with a mission to empower voters and defend democracy. As CEO, I’ve shepherd the organization through the 2024 election, launched our first President & CEO election tour to a dozen states, took us to new, bold heights through media and strategic partnerships, and re-structured the organization to meet this crazy political moment. My goal: restore LWV as a household name, unapologetically center women as the current generation of leaders needed to save our democracy and build an inclusive ecosystem that allows all of us to thrive. I could tell you all about the fact my work has been featured in Washington Post, POLITICO, WhoWhatWhy, CNN, New York Times and TIME to name a few but who cares? What really matters is behind all the accolades I am the business woman who enjoys solving complex problems, creating systems that increase productivity, identifying legal issues that become the landmarks of our time, and otherwise working to change the world around me for the better.
