ABOUT CELIA MILNE

Celia Milne is a consulting writer and editor. She specializes in transforming complex or sensitive subject matter into dynamic, compelling, plain-language content. Through interviews, research, and collaboration, Celia can tell your organization’s stories and profile your people. She holds an MFA in Creative Non-Fiction from the University of King’s College, Dalhousie University, Halifax, and a BA from Queen’s University. Clients include: Sunnybrook Research Institute, Sunnybrook Hospital, Sunnybrook Foundation, the University of Toronto, Sinai Health, the Advisory Council to the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, and Clinical Trials Ontario. Celia has published articles in: Maclean’s, The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, MaRS Discovery District magazine, The Medical Post, the National Post, Metro News, Financial Post Business Magazine, Reader’s Digest Best Health magazine, Homemakers, Chatelaine, as well as numerous trade publications. In her years as a senior writer and editor at the Medical Post, Celia won nine Kenneth R. Wilson awards, a National Magazine Award, a Folio Award (Chicago), a Jesse H. Neal Award (New York) and several Maclean Hunter and Rogers Media awards. She was also the “voice” of the newspaper for interviews on OMNI TV, CityTV News, and 680 News.
