About Celia Darling
I am a sustainability professional passionate about solving climate change through building community and empowering others. My background is in youth climate activism, food waste management, and community engagement. My work is motivated by love and animated by joy.Currently, as the Sustainability Coordinator at Skidmore College, I oversee student sustainability programs and projects, develop and carry out campus education and engagement activities, and assist with green institutional assessment.I have an M.S. in Environmental Policy and a B.S. in Political Science from Clarkson University. My graduate work was focused on community engagement in rural communities regarding sustainability by working to recertify the New York Olympic Region with LEED for Communities. At Clarkson, I managed the food waste program I developed from the ground up.
