About Cefil Joseph Soans
Cefil grew up, or so they say, in a rural village in Kerala. He was fascinated by a lot of things growing up, ranging from automobiles to the environment. Displeased with how learning was conducted at school, he decided to attend a liberal arts college in the middle of Sonipat to broaden his horizons and learned about life’s realities like student loans and living alone. After receiving his first stipend from an internship that he forayed into the world of investing and loved it to the extent that he went on to work for a fintech startup in Mumbai after graduation. It was happenstance that he landed in a product team at 5paisa and enjoyed the process. To learn more about product and gain technical skills, he is currently at Plaksha’s Technology Leaders Fellowship where he is learning about cool things like deep learning and design thinking, which he is now looking forward to making use of to build and ship great products that people love.
