I am an Omaha, Nebraska based Canadian-American linguist and trust and safety analyst with a passion for language diversity and online safety. I have a master\'s degree in applied linguistics from the University of Edinburgh, where I focused on the causal relationship between customer service agents\' speech intonation and customer satisfaction. I am currently working at LinkedIn, the world\'s largest professional network, where I share their vision of creating economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce.As an ads abuse analyst, I am part of the Trust Review Operations Team, where I apply my communication and analytical skills to identify, investigate, and mitigate fraudulent and abusive activities on the LinkedIn Ads platform. I use various tools and techniques, such as SQL, Python, and machine learning, to analyze data, detect patterns, and generate insights. I also collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, product, and legal, to implement solutions and policies that enhance the user experience and trust. I am an advocate for diversity, inclusion, and belonging, where I actively participate in the Omaha employee resource group community as a co-lead for Out@In Omaha, the 2SLGBTQIA+ resource group. I am proud to contribute to LinkedIn\'s mission of connecting the world\'s professionals and making them more productive and successful. When I\'m not at work, you can find me in the garden, playing my bassoon, gaming, cooking/baking, or working to reclaim my Michif (Red River Metis) heritage.
